back from WAR09

good news first:
SHE runs like a swiss watch (800 mls)
i had a great co-pilot this weekend

bad ones now:
i was sick during the whole saturday and spend the most time on the backseat of the car. full program body aches, maybe fever (dont measure it) and the runs. dont know from what it cames.
then a forgot the memory for the cam (but i havent had took pix on saturday)

and so my report ends at this point, sorry.

kein H wegen defektem kilometerzähler...

...und ich spreche nicht von der geschwindigkeitsmessung.
mir bleiben da einfach nur die worte weg. ich könnte kotzen.
naja wie dem auch sei - morgen hole ich ein neues 5 tage kennzeichen um erst mal nach weil zu kommen. dann sehen wir weiter.

i havent got a licence-plate for a historical car, cause the odometer doesnt work. i dont speak about the speedo. it takes my breath away about the f...king german rules. but in fact i could puke.
anyway - tomorrow i pick up a new 5-day plate to drive to war09.
after war09 - new game new luck.

bodenplatte ist fertig seit letzten donnerstag. es war eine affenhitze.
ground plate is ready since last thursday. temperature was aproxx 95 F

nächster schritt - stützwand bauen (ca 1,00 m high)
next step is build up the retaining wall (3,3 ft high)

home for her

wie so oft wieder mal den zweiten vor dem ersten schritt gemacht. nach langer baufeldfreimachung ist nun endlich der grundbau für die garage fertig. als nächstes kommt die bodenplatte. bauende wird wohl trotzdem 2010 sein. (selbst ist der mann)

like so many times i did the second step before the first. after a long periode to clear the working field the earth work is ready for the garage. next step is to pour the concrete for the ground plate. end of work will be until end of 2010. (do it yourself is the name of the game)

back from italy

here are some pix from the last travel to elba island. its a beautiful island with a lot of clear light and dark blue water arround, nice little beaches and a great cuisine. we stood for only 10 days in a little hotel near porto azzurro. its own by a family in the 4th generation. a very warm ambience arround. weather was absolutely great, not compared to the sh... weather here in Germany.

i loved to see the sailing ships with there crews and families on it. its the best way to discover the island and finding hidden places to swim and dive.



why you should use one motor on your rubber dinghy if you can have two. its like a hemi on a soapbox

datenblatt - datasheet

heute ist das datenblatt vom DUS gekommen. termin für die H-abnahme in leipzig ist dienstag.
der weg für das datenblatt über den TÜV-Süd war ne sackgasse. die typen dort scheinen nicht zu begreifen, dass n 48er chevy auch mit nem 73er smallblock zu den erhaltenswerten geschöpfen zählt. das es mit dem TÜV nicht geklappt hat ist vielleicht auch besser so, denn das abnahmemonopol für oldtimer in ostdeutschland hat die DEKRA. danke noch mal für den tip mit dem DUS thom.

i got the datasheet today from the DUS. date for technic inspection is tuesday in Leipzig. to get the datasheet from TÜV-Süd was a deadend street. these guys cant recognize, that a 48 fleetline with a 73 smallblock is also worth to keep. maybe it could be better, because the DEKRA (another association) has the monopoly of technical supervision of oldtimers in east germany. thx for your tip thom.
