to the limits OR how to go to Essen Motorshow

Essen motorshow opens the doors and the Flying Piston Studios were able to get some space again for a very special exhibition. this year I would be there with Her. but to Essen it should be a long hard way.

best decision of the day was a visit by the local car glass dealer to seal the windshield with nanotech polish. you will see why ;)

meeting point with the rest of the crowd was rest stop "Börde" 10 am. excited like I was of course the first one there.
Christian and his Opel were the next; some minutes later Thom and Olli

pic to remember someday

it was cold but sunny - still ; )

crossing the former innergerman borderline

weather was still nice...

...and then came the rain. aproxx 100 mls to go. but who cares and wipers are for pussies ;)

unfortunately we have winter right now and rain turns into snow (sometimes)

and this was GAME OVER for us on the german autobahn. the snow didnt move from the windshield
so we saw nothing, nada, niente :( we had to take the rescue line to remove the white crape from the glass. the trucks on the left lane with 80 mls/hr. it wasnt funny at all. no chance to drive longer as 20 sec and faster as 5 mph/hr. so we crept down the line to the next exit. it felt like kind of suicide commando.

safe for first under the autobahn thought ab the next step. not much choice :(

after 30 - 45 min mandatory break (I had XXXL icecubes at my feet) the snow became more and more less. and we had to take this chance to hit the bahn again. in hope for only rain :)
and we got it - hit the fairground 6.30 pm after a horrible trip - but we were happy and that counts !!!

I used the chance to sit down in one of the most beautiful HotRod in Germany. Gordons 28er Citroen

and of course I had to clean her up for the show; rain and snow did its best

b4:

and after:

and the big end of my day was driving home with a rental car. totally wiped out at home 4 am.

resume:
- use nanotech on windshields
- book a hotel

- JUST DO IT

YEAH STRIKE

today received me a letter. it was the response to my asking from the "Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt"
and folks what should I tell you?

YEAH I have 0 (zero) points on my account :)))
null - nada - niente - nothing hahahaha

what a day!!!

and of course I have to say a BIG THANK YOU to mr. T from B.
THX for your support bro :)

explanation for my foreign friends :)

every owner of a driving license get an account by the "Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt" at Flensburg.
if you drive thru a red light traffic, or call by drive or forget to click the belt or driving to fast or or or, you get points on your account. it depence on the delict how much points you can collect.
ok and every fck single point stay on your account for usual 2 yrs. after these yrs it will be delete. but: if you are an evil driver during these two years nothing will be delete. and the new one will be added.
this is not a problem as long as you drive everyday from home to the supermarket and back. indeed you need driving for living it could be a real problem to you. so in my case. I collect 14 points over the years and the finish line (18 points) came in sight for me. finish line means loose your driving license.
and so there was nothing else to do for me but be very carefully the last 3 yrs. and now I GOT IT :))))

STAY TUNED for the next 14 points hahahaha

new look means sometimes lot of work

"home sweet home" better to say "nothing to do? own a house"

one kind of work which you shelve away from you again and again and again is to remove wall papers.
but someday there is no excuse to hide you from it. for me that day was the 14th of november 2010.
of course there is not only a simple room, no its the staircase. and I can tell you the three most important things if you ever wanna remove wall papers. soaking - soaking - soaking !

b4 (some simple parts we already did ystrdy)

building up a platform

soaking - soaking - soaking

paper under your sox (ok I should wearing shoes :), glue on your hands and stairs full with waste

and 3.5 hrs later

next level: plaster made of cotton
